About Us

Effective January 1, 2017,  New England Organ Bank, Inc. and LifeChoice Donor Services, Inc. – the two federally-designated Organ Procurement Organizations (OPOs) serving New England – joined together to form a new parent organization, New England Donor Services, Inc.  The goals of this affiliation are to increase availability of organs and tissue for transplant in the region while deriving financial efficiencies.

Although the two organizations will remain in place as separate OPOs for regulatory and organ allocation purposes, all employees from both OPOs are employed by New England Donor Services and through this structure will continue the pursuit of the shared mission to save and enhance lives through organ and tissue donation. LifeChoice and NEOB will continue to provide the same high quality services with the same level of commitment to donor hospitals, transplant centers, donor families and communities throughout the New England region. New England Organ Bank and LifeChoice Donor Services together will coordinate the recovery of organs and tissues in nearly 200 New England hospitals.
