Erika Leach is an Organ Operations Resource Trainer at New England Donor Services. She has been with NEDS for almost 3 years! Erika started at NEDS as an Organ Clinical Coordinator and then transitioned to a Resource Trainer in September 2023.
"I applied for NEDS because at the time I was working on a clinical trial that focused on kidney transplants. In the role, I crossed paths with Jillian Wojtowicz from NEDS. After communicating with NEDS employees I wanted to figure out who NEDS was. It became clear that the role was very niche and prior experience made it easier to transition into the role here, even though there was a lot to learn."
"I know I am always going to be helping someone at the end of the day, which makes the work rewarding both inside and outside the organization. I am most excited to work with new people, watch them grow into their new roles here at NEDS, and support my colleagues in the day to day operations. Outside of the organization, I enjoy sharing my expertise to educate those who may have misconceptions surrounding donation.”
Thank you, Erika, for being a part of NEDS and for always going above and beyond.
